Accelerating feedback loops with the GPU

My «DotApp» takes advantage of the graphics processing unit whenever possible. Metal shaders accelerate almost everything: the pre-processing of the source image, the construction of the density map, the Lloyd relaxation and the rendering of the pigment particles. A bug that converted floating-point-based coordinates to unsigned integers not only caused the loss of numeric precision but also made particles drift towards positive x and positive y coordinates. Although not intended, I kind of like it! Thanks for letting me know, Claude. I am amazed how easy and fun it is to create apps with Anthropic's Claude. I love to build my own tools that enable novel workflows.
